Moitas Beach

Moitas Beach may be small but it’s generally not too crowded. A long pier offers a prime spot to watch surfers or to dive in yourself.

Moitas beach, a short walk from the Monte Estoril train stop or approximately 10 minutes down the promenade from the Cascais train stop, is a very small but typically not too crowded beach.

The water is rated as excellent quality and, despite a few clearly visible rocks, the area for swimming is great and there are generally lifeguards on duty.

A pier on one end of the beach is perfect for watching surfers who tend to swim beyond the wall where the waves break further out from the shore. You’ll typically find people watching them from the pier or from one of the laid-back cafes just above the beach.
