Rainha Beach

Small and picturesque, within walking distance from Cascais train station, with a pleasant view over the harbour.

2775 Cascais

The Queen’s beach, a sandy beach with gentle blue waters, owes its name to queen Amelia, who used to sunbathe here. And the queen had good reasons. This small pocket beach offers an ideal location to enjoy the sun, naturally protected from the wind and sheltered between the cliffs with beautiful houses perched on the top.

Today, its prime location just off from Cascais main shopping street and surrounded by hotels, restaurants and bars, makes it a favourite spot among locals and tourists alike who come where to dive in the calm waters of the Atlantic.

If you get hungry or thirsty, there’s a nice bar at the beachfront and you can also hire sun loungers and parasols.
